What's the difference between Miyuki and Toho beads?

In the world of seed beads, Toho beads are the equivalent of Miyuki Delica beads. The difference is their slightly larger hole.

Which needle is right for Miyuki beads?

When working with Miyuki beads, it's essential to choose the right needle. We recommend using a fine, flexible needle specially designed for bead weaving.
Miyuki beading needles in particular are perfectly suited to these beads.
Otherwise, size 10 or 12 needles are ideal, as detailed in our technical data sheet.

How to weave a Miyuki bead bracelet?

There are several techniques for weaving a bracelet with Miyuki seed beads: loom, Peyote weaving, Brick Stitch, etc.
To get started, we recommend making a bracelet on a loom. You'll need :

  • 4 colors of Miyuki Delica 11/0 beads
  • A loom
  • a weaving tip
  • a clasp
  • Beading needles
  • Miyuki thread
  • And follow our easy beginner's tutorial!
