What's the difference between epoxy resin and UV resin?
Epoxy resin hardens with a chemical mixture (resin + hardener), while UV resin hardens under a UV lamp. In the manufacture of finished components, epoxy is preferred for its strength and gloss. For in-house creations, UV resin enables fast, precise finishing, ideal for small projects or customized inclusions. Which one to choose? We give you the rundown in our resin data sheet.
Can I bathe and wash with jewelry made of epoxy resin?
Jewelry made from epoxy resin generally resists moisture well, but as with all jewelry, it's advisable to remove it for showering, bathing or hand-washing to preserve its shine and durability over the long term.
If you still wish to keep your resin jewelry on when you go underwater, be careful of the metal with which the epoxy component is associated. Choose mounts made from 316L stainless steel.
