Impressart offers a whole range of products to help you create personalized jewelry. A tapping block, an ergonomic hammer for tapping on stamps, self-adhesive templates, a bender for shaping bracelets to be engraved, markers for accentuating engraving, punching blanks...
Impressart punches are useful tools for precisely engraving a first name, a date of birth, an inspirational word, or decorating a bracelet or medal with a symbol or design.
Please note: Impressart stamps should not be used on stainless steel jewelry components. They could be damaged.
Impressart tools let you personalize your DIY jewelry, accessories and decorative objects, whether they're made of metal, wood or leather.
For example, to engrave a medal, you'll need a hammer, a letter punch, a bit of scotch tape, a jeweler's block and a bracelet.
1. Place your charm on the pile (tapping block).
2. Determine where you want to engrave. Use the tape to "fix" your bracelet, but also to guide you when punching.
3. Place your alphabet punch vertically, then tap it with a hammer. A sharp, clean blow will mark your metal.
4. Finish your engraving by applying acrylic ink to blacken your pattern. Remove excess ink with a soft cloth.
Punching is a metal engraving technique that requires a little practice. Before you start, we recommend that you practice on a support. See our technical data sheets on how to punch a piece of metal jewelry to make personalized jewelry or how to engrave a piece of jewelry yourself.
