How to use this punch?
To use this punch, place your medium (for example, a 925 Sterling Silver engraving medal, copper, brass or aluminum) on a stable tapping block. Position the punch vertically at the desired location, then strike it firmly with a suitable tapping hammer. A single sharp blow is generally sufficient to mark the material. For greater contrast, you can apply acrylic ink to the engraved pattern, then wipe off the excess with a soft cloth. This engraving technique requires a little practice, so it's advisable to practice on scraps of material before working on your final piece.
