How do I engrave jewelry with an ImpressArt stamp? For example, how do you engrave a medal?
1. Place your 925 silver medal on the pile (the tapping block).
2. Determine where you want to engrave. Use the adhesive tape to "fix" your medal, but also to guide you when punching.
3. Place your decorative punch vertically, then tap it with a hammer. A sharp, clean blow will mark your metal.
4. Finish your engraving by applyingacrylic ink to blacken your design. Remove excess ink with a soft cloth.
And that's it, in just a few minutes you'll have a beautiful engraved 925 silver medal! Easy to use, creating personalized jewelry with a first name, date, texture or motif will become child's play.
This metal-engraving technique does require a little practice, however, so we recommend that you get some practice before you start.
Buy ImpressArt punches to make your jewelry unique: these tools will enable you to easily create personalized engravings on metal (silver 925, copper, brass, aluminum) as well as on leather, wood... Punch your jewels with precision and care, and above all with the skill of a professional.
Please note that we have many materials available that lend themselves easily to this technique, such as bracelets to be shaped, charms and medals to be engraved in 925 silver, or leather bracelets.
Please note that the punches are lightly coated with oil to prevent rusting.
