What can I do with these ImpressArt punches?
With this kit, you can personalize your creations by adding names, important dates or meaningful messages on various media. For example, consider creating a bracelet with a loved one's first name, or an engraved medal to give on special occasions. Punches can also be used to decorate pendants, sequins or medallions. Using a tapping block and hammer, you'll achieve precise, professional marking.
How to use them
- Place your medal on the pile (the tapping block).
- Determine where you want to engrave. Use the adhesive tape to "fix" your medal, but also to guide you when punching.
- Place your decorative punch vertically, then tap it with a hammer. A sharp, clean blow is all it takes to mark your metal.
- Finish your engraving by applying acrylic ink to blacken your motif. Remove excess ink with a soft cloth.
This metal engraving technique does require a little practice, so we recommend that you practice on a support before you start.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced user, there are resources available to guide you through the use of these punches.
