These ImpressArt punches are designed to withstand stamping on soft metals (such as aluminum, pewter, copper, brass, 925 silver) and hard metals like 304 and 308 stainless steel. It is also compatible with other metals with a Rockwell hardness of 66 HRC.
It should not be used with harder steels such as 316L (between 70 and 90HRC).

How to use them
- Place your medal on the pile (the tapping block).
- Determine where you want to engrave. Use the adhesive tape to "fix" your medal, but also to guide you when punching.
- Place your decorative punch vertically, then tap it with a hammer. A sharp, clean blow is all it takes to mark your metal.
- Finish your engraving by applyingacrylic ink to blacken your motif. Remove excess ink with a soft cloth.
