Tutorial steps

Step 1

Draw several small hearts on a sheet of paper and cut them out. Test the size directly on your ear to see if it's right for you.

Transfer the hearts to the brass plate. Try to optimize the plate as much as possible.

Cut out the three hearts with a bocfil.

Step 2

Once cut, rework the edges with the file. Then hammer the surface.

Step 3

Once you've hammered your three little hearts, move on to grinding and polishing the back.

Then give the three hearts a satin-matt finish with the Matte Brush.

Step 4

Put the three hearts back together, then flatten them so that they are straight.

Step 5

Before soldering the cores together, make marks with a marker on the back where you want to solder.

Step 6

Cut out small pebbles. Apply borax to the metal plates, then heat a little to plate the metal.

Position small pebbles using a tweezer, then braze until the pebbles melt. Heat the whole piece thoroughly.

Leave to rest, then put to dry. It's very important to have a hood with the deroché.

Step 7

We'll now weld the rod to the back of the part.

Make a pre-hole, position the rod, apply a little borax, then position the straw at the base of the rod. Heat the whole part, then concentrate on the rod. Once the braze is poured, stop.

Leave to cool on a jeweler's heap, then put in the déroché.

Step 8

Once out of the drip tray, brush over again.

Gently smooth the edges with a small file, especially the tips of the hearts.
