Do you dream of creating jewelry from A to Z usingtraditional jewelry-making techniques, but have never dared take the plunge? Then this video is for you! We've put together a whole series of videos to help youlearn traditional jewelry making on your own. A sort of online jewelry training course, with detailed tutorials, tips and techniques for learning the basics.
In this new video, I explain how to make flower creole earrings. To make things easier, I've chosen to use ready-made 925 silver flower spacers. We have a wide range of 925 silver components and pendants that can be diverted from their original purpose. Design, imagine and make your own DIY jewelry.
In this tutorial, you'll discover different techniques, including how to solder with binding wire, as well as other techniques:
- Shaping creoles with a triboulet
- Soldering earring posts
- Shaping flowers with a thimble
- Soldering with binding wire
- Polishing finishes
Don't be discouraged if you don't get it right the first time. Traditional jewelry-making requires a long training period. It requires patience and a lot of ankle practice.
Initially, it's best to practice on non-precious metals such as brass, which is much cheaper than 925 silver.
It's important to remember to protect yourself by wearing the rightappropriate equipment (mask, gown and gloves) to work in the best possible conditions, in a windy area equipped with an extractor hood.
