The bocfil is the jeweller's saw. It can be used to cut many metals, such as silver, copper, brass and aluminium, cleanly and precisely (remember to adapt the blade to the thickness of the plate you want to cut).
Note that the blade is not adjustable in height like a conventional bocfil. So you won't be able to use the end of the blade.
A little extra? This jeweller's saw is suitable for both right- and left-handed users. What's more, its rounded shape makes it easier to reach corners.
To change the blades, simply loosen the butterfly screws on the saw frame, insert the blades and tighten.
Be careful to use the saw blade in the right direction: the teeth should be pointing downwards.
A little tip: run your finger over the blade, if it catches it's not good, change direction!
You can coat the blade with beeswax to make it glide more easily and wear out less quickly.
