UV LED resin is a resin that cures in a few minutes thanks to a UV LED lamp. No need to wait 48 hours like with a classic epoxy resin! This allows you to make jewelry very quickly and easily. It's very practical for a quick DIY gift or for a small group workshop. It will allow you to make personalized jewelry with small dried flowers, gold or silver metal leaves or small elements to be included in the resin.
This DIY resin jewel was made with a heart pendant specially designed for resin. This pendant exists in other shapes and sizes too. Also, you can colour your resin with UV LED resin dye and include glitter and mica powders.

UV LED resin is perfect for creating jewellery that does not require a large amount of resin. However, you will need a transparent mould or a pendant for inclusion like this one. This resin is not recommended for large pieces like this shell cup, as it may remain soft. For the decoration, prefer the classic epoxy resin.
This heart pendant will be perfect for a necklace or a key ring. Choose white, Bohemian style outfits or jeans to highlight the transparency and details of your creation and the poetic side due to the dried flowers.
Make your creation in a shaded area away from a window or light point, as the resin may harden before you have time to spread it out. Place your pendant on a silicone mat. Pour a first even layer of resin. It should be thin, but not form holes. Then place your little flowers on top. Turn on the UV LED lamp above for 2 minutes.
Put a second or even third layer of resin to cover the flowers completely and put the lamp on top for 1 to 2 minutes each time.
Gently turn the pendant over and apply a final layer of resin. This will make the resin transparent again and will even out the back of the flowers which was hiding the light and therefore prevented the resin from solidifying. Pass the lamp again.
Cut and remove the excess resin from the pendant with a scalpel.
Choose the length of your necklace by trying the chain around your neck. The links are connected by rings so there is no need to cut the chain. Open the rings to separate the chain with two jewellery pliers by rotating the edges on the same axis and not by spreading them apart as this will distort the ring.
Use the end rings of the chain to secure the spring clasp and the closed ring. Remove the small charms at these points for ease. Also open the ring in the middle of your chain, remove the charms and slip the pendant in before closing the ring.
