Jesmonite AC730 Charcoal Black powder base is one of the components for creating Jesmonite costume jewelry and decorative objects.
The powder is already enriched with natural pigments, so there's no need to add more. This powder base must be completed exclusively with Jesmonite AC730 liquid base.
What is Jesmonite? It's a non-toxic, solvent-free acrylic resin composed of a mixture of gypsum (plaster stone) and a water-based acrylic component (remember to mix well before use).
Very lightweight, Jesmonite is resistant, durable and impact-resistant. Easy to use, it's the ideal material for decorative objects.
How to use Jesmonite?
1 - Mix the components, preferably with an electric mixer. The ratio is 1 part liquid to 5 parts powder.
2 - Mold
3 - Remove air bubbles
4 - Allow to air dry (20-30 minutes)
5 - Remove from mold.
The final result can be sanded, waterproofed with pore-filler varnish (compatible with food contact) and varnished with satin varnish (water- and oil-repellent) for a gloss finish.
