Effectively roughen and prepare your surfaces with this coarse-grained P100 abrasive sponge, ideal for jobs requiring heavy abrasion.
This coarse-grained P100 abrasive sponge is designed for roughing and surface preparation operations. Its coarse grit enables rapid removal of material, correction of roughness or stripping of surfaces prior to a finer finishing step. Its extra-thickness ensures a good grip and ease of use, even during prolonged work. Flexible yet resistant, it adapts to flat surfaces as well as irregular shapes, edges and complex volumes. It can be used dry or slightly dampened, depending on the material and desired finish, on wood, metal, resin, polymer clay or Jesmonite.
What can I do with a coarse abrasive sponge?
In DIY projects and the creation of jewelry or decorative objects, this abrasive sponge is particularly useful upstream of finishing work. It can be used to make up for irregularities after cutting, to rectify excessively sharp edges, to prepare surfaces before gluing or to clean surfaces before shaping. In resin, it helps to eliminate excess or defects after demolding, while in polymer clay or on wood supports, it facilitates levelling before finer sanding. It can also be used to deliberately give a rough or textured appearance to certain creations for a more organic look.
