Simply divide the length of your wire by the diameter of your bead, and you'll get the number of beads you need.

It all depends on your project, but the simplest option is to slip your stone beads onto an elastic wire and close it with a surgeon's knot.
On wired wire, you'll need to add a clasp. To do this, slip a crushable bead onto both ends of the wire. Thread the wire through a wire guard and back through the squeeze bead. Crush the bead with pliers. All that's left to do is hang your clasp with a junction ring.
