Men's elastic bracelet with blue tiger eye gemstone beads

If you're looking for a DIY gift idea to give to your loved one or friend, you've come to the right place! Here is a quick and easy gemstone elastic bracelet tutorial. Use tiger eye stones dyed blue or natural color and heishi polymer clay beads in the color of your choice to personalize this bracelet that will keep a sentimental value for the person you offer it to.

We have indicated that this bracelet is for men in the title of the tutorial, but of course it will suit anyone! You will only need to adjust the size of the bracelet to the wrist of the person you are giving it to by adding or removing beads.

This tutorial is not very complicated, and doesn't require any specific tools, so if you are a beginner, now is the time to try it out!

Elastic bracelets are very easy to make as long as you follow certain steps:

  • Pre-stretch your elastic thread before threading the beads. All elastic threads loosen slightly at first. It is better to force them to stretch before you finish your bracelet rather than once the knot is already made.
  • Thread the beads as you go along, placing the whole thing on your table rather than holding it in your hand to avoid dropping all the beads.
  • Depending on the size and brand of the elastic thread you may or may not be able to finish your bracelet with a knot. The thread used here allows you to finish with a surgeon's knot.
  • Avoid storing your elastic thread and your already made bracelets under the sun or in a too hot place. UV rays and solvents damage plastics.

Tutorial steps
