Resin pendant with flower and wood inclusion

Prepare your mixture of epoxy resin components, starting with the hardener, then 2 doses of resin.Mix vigorously, then wait 30 minutes or so before using, to avoid bubbles and allow the mixture to thicken slightly.
Prepare your mold by cleaning it with rubbing alcohol to remove any dust.

Cut a flower to fit into one corner of the mold. Cut a piece of wood and slide it onto one side of the mold opposite the flower.

Remove your elements from the silicone mold, pour a little of your resin mixture into the bottom. Replace your flower and the wood, then pour more resin all the way to the top. Place your mold in a dark place, away from dust if possible. You can keep your resin in the freezer in your beaker if you've made a lot, and take it out again whenever you like.

Wait 48 hours before removing your pendant from the mold, as our imprints on the resin will not come off.

Mark a point with a felt-tip pen in the middle of the center edge. Drill a 2 or 3 mm hole in your pendant using a very fine drill bit such as 0.8 mm. This drill bit can be mounted on your Dremel drill or on a hand-held chuck. The drill is much quicker and more practical, as the resin is hard and slippery, but drilling with a chuck is still possible.

Put a dot of glue on the end of your pendant fastener, or a drop of resin if you've put some aside. Push the tip into the hole, forcing it slightly and holding it firmly.

Cut approx. 45 cm of 2 mm leather cord. Thread the cord through the pendant's fastener, then use pliers to close each end with a cord end.

Place a ring in each hole of the end caps, then attach your carabiner.
