This video shows you the creation of a pair of earrings with a ring mold of UV resin, small dry flowers and fragments of gold leaf. This technique is very fast, fun and the result is always beautiful, even if you have never made resin this "handmade" creation is for you.
Prepare the elements to be included in the resin, the flowers are well dried and prepared for this use, if you want to use flowers that you have yourself.If you want to use flowers that you have picked up yourself, you must dry them for a fortnight in the dark, otherwise they risk rotting in the resin. Cut gold leaf flakes.
Pour UV LED resin into the silicone ring mould, as soon as bubbles appear on the surface you can bring a flame close to burst them. Place the flowers and gold leaves with a pair of pliers and then with a toothpick press them in. Pour resin again to the top of the mould.
Place the mould under the lamp and press the switch, when finished turn the mould over and catalyse under the lamp again. Unmould your ring and start all over again to create a second one.
Cut two 10 cm lengths of brass wire, use it to wrap the ring several times and then pass it through the hole in the ear nail. Wrap the wire between the ear pin and the ring and then go back over the ring to finish, be careful to wedge the pieces of wire underneath the others so as not to scratch yourself while wearing the earrings.
