A Miyuki Seed bead 11/0 measures approximately 2 mm in diameter. In the Miyuki nomenclature, the larger the number, the smaller the bead: 11/0 is the standard size, between 8/0 (larger) and 15/0 (very fine).
The Miyuki 11/0 seed beads are round, while the Delica 11/0 is cylindrical. The Delica offers superior regularity and a proportionally larger hole, making it ideal for peyote and brick stitch. Seed beads are slightly more organic and rounded.
For weaving (loom, peyote, brick stitch), use a Nymo, C-Lon or One-G weaving thread with a Miyuki beading needle. For simple threading, 0.30 to 0.40 mm nylon or elastic thread is ideal.
