Resin

Epoxy resin is a thermosetting liquid polymer, created from a mixture of two components: hardener and resin.
Unlike UV resin, two-component epoxy resin sets in the open air, away from light and dust, for a minimum of 24 hours, depending on the quantity used.
It can take up to a week for it to harden to the core, so watch out for your fingerprints on the surface!

• Mix the two components: resin and hardener. Follow the dosage instructions: two doses of resin for one dose of hardener.
• Using a wooden spatula, stir thoroughly to avoid air bubbles.
• Transfer to another container to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
• Pour the resin into your resin mold or stand.
• Have fun adding mica powder, glitter, microbeads, dried flowers or even charms.
• Wait at least 2-3 days for the resin to dry.

Before you start, it's important to take a few precautions:

• Wear gloves.
• Protect your work surface.
• Set up your workspace in a well-ventilated area.

• Immediate cleaning: quickly wipe away fresh resin splashes with a cloth.
• Isopropyl alcohol: use to clean tools, brushes and surfaces.
• Do not use water: resin does not dissolve in water, prefer a solvent such as alcohol.
• Hard surfaces: for hardened residues, scrape gently with a plastic tool and use alcohol to clean.

We recommend waiting 4 to 6 hours between two coats of epoxy resin. This will avoid unpleasant surprises (air bubbles, sticky surfaces, irregularities, etc.).

You'll need at least 48 hours before you can sand your resin. This is the time required for catalysis.
