Epoxy resin, composed of two elements, can be used to create jewelry and decorative objects.
Epoxy resin is a liquid plastic made up of two components: resin and hardener. When mixed, these components react to form a solid, transparent and durable material. Highly appreciated for its versatility, it can be used to make decorative objects, jewelry and more.
It can be tinted with pigments, dried flowers or glitter, and can be adapted to a variety of creative techniques. Once cured, epoxy resin offers a smooth, glossy, glass-like finish, bringing a professional look to your creations.
How do I use epoxy resin?
Mix epoxy resin and hardener in a 1:1 ratio, as precise dosing is important for optimum drying.
Stir the mixture thoroughly for 3 minutes, then pour directly into a mold.
For a 2 cm thickness, the drying time is 8 to 10 hours, after which the resin can be removed from the mold.
It takes a further 36 hours to harden completely.
Note that if the layer is thicker, or if the ambient temperature is below 25°C, the drying time will be longer.
