How to make a pendant with the technique of petriery?
Mystic is the theme of the month of November at Perles & Co and what more mysterious than this beautiful resin pendant made by our partner Nadia Her , you can find all his creations on his YouTube channel.
We offer this video to make a nice resin pendant made with the technique of petri , it is a technique that allows inks to come to diffuse in the resin and get very nice results. In the video two pendants are made.
We gave you a little recap of the different steps of the video to make his resin pendant:
Step 1: Mix the resin
Weigh your resin using a scale, you need 20g. In the same glass add 10g of hardener and mix for 3 minutes with a wooden spatula.
Step 2: Pour the resin into the molds
Pour the mixture into the molds and let stand so that bubbles rise to the surface.
Step 3: Add color
Put the colors you want drops by drops
Step 4: Let rest
Let it cure for 24 hours away from dust and light and unmold your pendant
Step 5: Fill the back of the pendant
Mix the resin and hardener again to fill the back precisely to get a nice look and let it harden again 24 hours
Step 6: Mount your creation as a pendant
Use a bail to hang on top of your pendant, go through a chain and you just have to wear your new necklace.
For safety reasons do not forget to use a mask and gloves when handling resin.
