How to hang a phone jewel?

If you've landed on this article, it's because you've fallen for the phone jewelry trend (or maybe it's just curiosity!). And you're right: in addition to being pretty and original, they are super practical. But little problem, you don't know how to hang your new DIY creation on your smartphone. Don't panic, we give you three solutions to put your phone jewel and be more trendy than ever!

1. Hanging a strap

Also known as a cell phone strap, the strap slips into one of the notches on your phone's shell designed for this purpose. All you have to do is tie a lark's head knot, passing the carabiner inside the strap. Then use the carabiner clasp at the end to hang the jewelry components. To avoid damaging your phone jewelry wire with the lanyard clasp, consider adding a wire guard!

Where to hang phone jewelry? There are different ways to hang your phone cord:

• Pass the lanyard loop through the slot provided for charging.
• Slide it through the camera lens hole.
• Use the small openings on the sides (at the volume level).

2. Use a synthetic cord

And how do you put on a jewel phone when you don't have a lanyard? Just improvise a substitute attachment with a synthetic cord! How to do it? We explain everything:

• Choose a cord that is strong enough and wide enough to fit through the hole in the beads you'll be using to make your phone grigri.
• With your synthetic cord, form a loop and lock it with a crush bead. You can also make a knot or two at the base of the loop. The loop should be big enough to hang from your jewelry to your phone like a lanyard.
• Then slide the beads of different sizes through the two threads of the cord. You can use a metal wire like a needle for this.
• Finish your creation by making a simple knot that you will hide behind a bead.
• Hang your creation by passing the loop through one of the openings in the shell of your phone, as you would with a wrist strap.

3. Make a loop with beads

• Make a piece of phone jewelry on a silk thread, then finish it with a lobster clasp.
• Thread a piece of silk thread through one of the openings in your phone shell. It should be large enough to form a loop.
• String the beads of your choice (in our tutorial, we used seed beads and a flat heart bead) on each side of your wire.
• Close your loop and make a surgeon's knot.
• Using a clasp, hang your phone jewelry on the loop you just made.
