Cut a fairly long length of thread (2 m, bearing in mind that part of it is needed initially, but will not be used later) and thread the two needles at each end.

Thanks to Emmanuelle from Rose Moustache, we've put together a miyuki bead weave for a brooch featuring the trendy teepee motif. Here, Emmnauelle suggests we use this brickstitch weave as a brooch, but there's nothing to stop you making a necklace or anything else.for beginners, you can visit our technical sheets to learn the basics of bead weaving.
The tipi pattern is woven row by row. With this model, the 1st row is the longest, i.e. the bottom row with the golden beads (see weaving chart below).
As you know, at Perles&Co we're a bit curious... so don't hesitate to show us the results of your creations by sharing a photo of them with us on our social networks: our Facebook page and our Instagram page .

Cut a fairly long length of thread (2 m, bearing in mind that part of it is needed initially, but will not be used later) and thread the two needles at each end.

Place the first golden bead in the middle of the thread.

For this first row, there are 20 beads to string. The 1st is already in place, and the other 19 will be positioned in a ladder.

Pass the 2nd bead through both needles, crossing them. Slide it back to the first bead.

String the remaining beads in this way.
Your first row is complete. Remove one of the needles.
You'll now need to work on one side only. Note that you'll have a good length of thread left over on the other side.

To make the 2nd row, thread the 1st bead of the row, then pass your needle under the thread between the first two beads of the 1st row.

The needle here moves from right to left.

Your bead is in place. You can now make the 2nd row in this way, checking the colors on the diagram.

Start the second row, following the weaving grid.

Now that you've completed the major part of the tepee by decreasing the rows each time, the following rows are completed with increases.

Thread two golden beads onto your needle

Pass your needle in the same way as for part 1

Pass your needle through the 2nd threaded bead, the other is positioned at the end of the row.

To thread the 3rd and last bead of the row, you'll realize that you can't put it in place as it's also at the end of the row (it has no support).
To do this, thread your bead and pass your needle along the side of the last bead in place. Between the bottom bead and the one just above.

Your bead is positioned on the row and the needle passes through the bead.

Proceed in the same way for the last rows.

Finally, hide any protruding wires: there are no knots to tie, just thread the wire through a few beads and cut flush with the beads.

Your tipi design is complete. Now you can carry out the final step, mounting on the spindle.

For added rigidity, brush the entire teepee with jewel glue. Place the fastener and wait ten minutes.

Here's another color option for the RoseMoustache teepee (reinterpreted by Flora).
