Terrazzo is on trend again this year! What is terrazzo? It's a glittery or speckled material known since ancient times. Originally, it consisted of fragments of natural stone, pieces of glass or colored marble, bound together with cement or resin. While terrazzo was once reserved for walls, floors, furniture and decorative objects, today it can be found on a variety of surfaces, including wallpaper, cushions and linens.
In this easy tutorial, Pébéo invites you to create an original version of terrazzo with a few scraps of paper, deco paint and resin. Let us guide you and customize a wooden serving tray with a terrazzo motif! Once you've mastered the technique, you'll be able to enjoy decorating all kinds of other wood and cardboard surfaces.

Gather all the materials you need.

Paint the bottom and inside edges of the tray with the clay-colored deco paint. Leave to dry for 30 minutes.

Cut out the coloured paper in various shapes.

Arrange them on the bottom of the tray.

Prepare the Gédéo crystal resin mixture.

Pour the resin over the paper cut-outs.

Using the wooden stick, rearrange shapes if necessary.

Allow the resin to dry for 24 hours.

Your set is finished, bravo!
