In this tutorial from our partner Colleen L. aka Lollipuce, you'll learn how to brick stitch a toucan using its complete diagram (weaving grid). Feel free to print it out by clicking on the little printer icon in the left-hand column.
Don't know how to make a brick stitch? Take a look at all our technical datasheets, including those on bead weaving. After that, you'll not only know how to start a brick stitch weave, but also how to make an increase and a reduction!
You'll find all the Miyuki bead references you'll need in the equipment list, but you can let your imagination run wild by changing the color of the Seed beads.
Once your creation is complete, you can wear it as a brooch on a jacket by adding a brooch holder to its back. Or glue a magnet to the back to make a colorful magnet for your fridge.
Are you a fan of bead weaving? Check out all our weaving tutorials! We'll give you lots of ideas for necklaces, long necklaces, earrings and various diagrams.

We'd love to see your work (alone or worn) and, who knows, share it on our social networks. So send us your photos on Facebook or tag us on Instagram with #perlesandco
