Cut 20 cm of brass wire with wire cutters.

String the letter beads to form the word or first name of your choice: "THANK YOU" or your first name, as in our example.

Then add the other beads, alternating as you wish: round imitation freshwater pearls, golden flower Rondelle beads, and the transparent flower bead.
Here's our example:
Side 1: 1 golden flower rondelle bead / 1 round imitation freshwater pearl / 1 golden flower rondelle bead / 3 round imitation freshwater pearls / 1 golden flower rondelle bead
Side 2: 1 rondelle bead, golden flower / 2 round beads, imitation freshwater pearl / 1 rondelle bead, golden flower / 1 transparent flower bead / 1 rondelle bead, golden flower

Use One Step Looper pliers to form a loop at each end of the brass wire. These pliers cut to the right length and form a pretty 3 mm loop.
Don't have any? No problem: use round-ended pliers. See our data sheet: Forming a loop on a nail or jewelry pin.

Open a ring, pass it through both the keyring and one of the loops formed earlier, then close it again.
Repeat on the other side.
If you're just starting out, follow our How to open a ring to make a piece of jewelry instruction sheet .

You can stop here for a simple version, or go on to the next step to add a charm.

Add a ceramic elephant bead in the color of your choice. Thread the bead onto a ball-headed nail, then form a loop with round-tipped pliers or Looper pliers. Attach the charm to the keyring with an open ring.

Your personalized key ring is finished.
Simply change the color of the transparent flower beads and ceramic elephant beads to create a beautiful series of unique, personalized key rings!
