The carnation is a flower associated with the first month of the year. It symbolizes pride, love and desire (red carnation), tenderness, an eternal feeling (pink carnation) and romance.

Each month of birth is also associated with a birthstone and color: for January, it's bright red and garnet.
Combine a birth flower pendant with a Garnet stone or the color deep red and create a lovely personalized necklace to give as a gift.
The iris is the flower for people born in February. Did you know that its name comes from the Greek word "iris", meaning rainbow? In the language of flowers, it symbolizes innocence, shyness and humility.

The lotus is associated with the month of July. In the language of flowers, the lotus evokes purity, beauty, perseverance and personal fulfillment.

Born in August? Then the poppy is your birth flower. In the language of flowers, it embodies "fragile ardor" because of its ephemeral beauty. In England, it's called poppy. It's the flower of remembrance of the First World War.
