How do you choose the right nail polish for your jewelry?

Before grabbing the first bottle you see, ask yourself three questions:

• What material do I need to protect? (polymer clay, wood, metal, plastic, resin, paper...)
• What finish am I looking for? (glossy, matte, satin, pearlescent, crackle...)
• What will it beused for? (Jewelry intended for sale = requires extra protection)

Jewelry worn daily or intended for resale will require more coats and a longer drying time than a piece displayed in a store window.

Our application tips for long-lasting results

• Always test on a scrap piece, a sample bead, or a small corner of the piece before applying the varnish to your final creation, especially if you’re mixing paint and varnish.
• Apply two thin coats rather than one thick coat: this ensures more even drying and a cleaner finish.
• Allow the varnish to dry to the touch before handling the piece, and wait for it to dry completely before wearing it.
