How to untangle a necklace chain?

This morning, the weather is nice. You would like to wear that necklace you like so much with your little dress. But, disaster, the chain is all tangled. Arrrggnnn! It's infuriating!

First solution: be patient to get rid of it. You must not pull it in all directions, you risk breaking your chain. But not all of us have this gift.
So for the others, how do you do it? No stress! There are some tips and tricks to untangle a gold, silver, stainless steel or any other material necklace or bracelet.

Use oil

Easy to find, we all have a bottle of oil at home. Whether in the kitchen (olive oil, sunflower oil, walnut oil...) or in the bathroom (hair oil, body oil, baby oil, sweet almond oil...).
First of all, you have to open the clasps. Then take the chain in your hand and pour a few drops of oil. Then rub your hands together for a few moments. The friction and oil should cause the knot to slip and the chain to untangle.
If the knots are tight and stubborn, feel free to use a needle.
Finally, don't forget to rinse your chain thoroughly to avoid leaving oily marks on your clothes and dry it with a soft, clean cloth.

Use talcum powder

Same principle as for oil. Sprinkle talcum powder in the center of the knot. Then rub your hands together. The talc will lubricate the chain links and the knot should come out. Don't hesitate to use a needle to help you.
Again, don't forget to rinse your jewelry thoroughly or it will leave white marks on your outfit and dry it gently.

Using needles

To begin, consider opening the clasps. Then insert two thin needles into the knot of your chain. Failing that, you can take prick pins or safety pins. The result will be the same.
Play with your pins, spreading them out and turning them in the opposite direction. Gradually, the knot will begin to loosen and expand. All you have to do is loosen the knot with your fingers.

Of course, to prevent this from happening again, it is essential to store these chains and necklaces separately in jewelry cases, boxes or order them on a jewelry rack.
