DIY knitting : how to stop the stitches of a knitting ?

How do you stop knitting?

In the language of knitters, the "folding of stitches" means that we want to finish his work, stop the stitches by making a border to prevent them from unknitting.

Tutorial steps

Step 1

To fold over the stitches, start by knitting the first and second stitches normally.

Step 2

The first stitch is picked up with the left needle from the front, then passed over the second stitch.

Step 3

Knit the next stitch as usual.

Step 4

With the left needle, stitch the first stitch on the right needle and pass it over the second stitch.

Step 5

Repeat the operation.

Step 6

When you reach the last stitch of the row, proceed in the same way: knit the stitch normally. With the left needle, stitch the first stitch on the right needle and pass it over the second stitch.

Step 7

Then, pull the yarn, cut it and pull it through the last stitch. And voila, you have a nice border!
