Setacolor Paillette effect paint by Pébéo is an acrylic paint specially designed for leather and imitation leather.
This color, ultra-resistant and luminous, is highly charged with glitter, for a very sparkling look. It is used transparently on the substrate. It can be worked over a color base or mixed directly with color.
It is applied with a brush (they are not compatible with airbrush application). When the paint is still wet, the result is "milky", but this effect disappears as the paint dries, revealing the glittering effect of the sequins.
How to use setacolor textile paint?
- Prepare and degrease the surface with the degreaser-preparator, using absorbent paper or a cloth. This helps colors adhere better.
- Apply the paint in thin, even coats for an even finish. The paint leaves no streaks. Colors are opaque in a maximum of 3 thin coats.
- Allow to dry for at least 15 minutes between coats to avoid re-diluting the lower coat (possibility of accelerating drying with a hairdryer).
To obtain the desired, long-lasting finish, we recommend the use of mat-satin or glossvarnish, or a mixture of the 2, to protect your creation from scratches, rubbing, wear and water.
