These small glass beads from the Japanese brand Miyuki are seed beads.They are size 11/0 seed beads (approximately 1.36 mm in the direction of the hole, 2 mm in diameter).

Miyuki beads are uniquely uniform in size, allowing the thread to be passed through them multiple times. You can use them with or without a beading loom, or with a “Quick Start Peyote” kit, which makes it easy to get started with peyote stitch.
