Seed beads are small, round, coloured glass beads with a regular shape that are perfect for creating costume jewellery. If Miyuki Delicas beads are the best known, there are other seed beads such as Toho, Matubo or Ornella Preciosa. These regular and calibrated beads are perfect for bead weaving with a loom or not, using the peyote or brick stitch technique. Whether they are opaque, pearlescent or with metallic highlights, you will love using them in your DIY creations. Have fun putting them in your necklaces, bracelets or earrings!
But be careful: seed beads are totally addictive. Very quickly, you will not be able to do without them!

The problem with seed beads or Miyuki beads is choosing from the many different colors available. In addition, they match many jewelry components such as freshwater pearls, pearls, gemstones, resin beads or chains. Combine them with gold or silver jewellery primers such as 925 silver, gold-filled, gold-plated or stainless steel and create trendy costume jewellery!
Check out all of our DIY seed bead jewelry tutorials. We show you how to make seed beads bracelets, but also how to make a seed beads necklace, earrings or rings: will it be a woven beads cuff bracelet, a spiral necklace or a daisy bracelet (this little bracelet with seed beads flowers inspired by the 90's) that we saw everywhere this summer ? The choice is yours!
Seed beads are not only used to make DIY jewelry. You can also personalize your clothes and accessories by embroidering them directly on the fabric. Give a second life to an old top, a tired clutch, a faded dress or a sweater that is a bit too ordinary!
They will also brighten up your interior decoration by creating cute and funny characters or unique and original decorative objects.
