This necklace is an ultra-simple project, perfect for beginners. It relies on just one technique: stringing beads. Cut a 40- to 50-cm length of nylon thread. Thread one end through a crimp bead and then through a ring on the clasp. Thread it back through the crimp bead, tighten the thread so there’s no gap between the loop and the bead, and flatten the bead.
The best way to do this is to fold it back on itself using a crimping plier. You can watch our video for help: “Creating Beautiful Finishes with Crimp Beads.”
Once the bead is flattened, slide a crimp cap over it for a neat finish.
Next, start stringing the beads. Alternate between a resin bead, a pink seed bead, a resin bead, a green seed bead, and so on. Continue stringing them until the necklace is the length you want.
