Discover Miyuki Half Tila beads, flat rectangular Japanese beads with 2 holes that are revolutionizing the art of bead weaving.

Made from high-quality Miyuki glass, these rectangular beads offer exceptional regularity that makes all the difference in your DIY jewelry creations.
Miyuki Half Tila glass beads are distinguished by their perfectly calibrated double holes, enabling fluid threading and infinite weaving possibilities. Their flat, regular rectangular format guarantees harmonious creations, whether you're a beginner or an experienced designer.
Unlike square Tila beads (5x5mm), Half Tila beads are half as wide, giving your jewelry more lightness and finesse. They combine perfectly with Seed beads 11/0 or 15/0, Quarter Tila, and of course standard Tila beads to create sophisticated geometric patterns.
These beads lend themselves to a wide range of techniques: peyote weaving, brick stitch, right angle weave. Their double hole allows for unique layering and relief effects. Combine them with a suitable clasp to enhance your creations.
Let your imagination run wild with these flat Japanese beads!
We've put together a complete beginner's lesson for you: learn how to thread on elastic cord and make your first Half Tila bracelet step by step!
The choice of yarn depends on your project. For traditional weaving, choose C-LON or Miyuki wire, which offer excellent resistance and slide perfectly through the holes. For elastic bracelets, opt for a fine 0.5mm elastic thread. Linhasita waxed thread is also suitable for creations requiring several passes.
The quantity of beads required depends on several factors: wrist size, type of mounting (elastic or clasp) and desired bracelet style.
With their 2.3mm width, Half Tila beads thread compactly. For a simple bracelet on elastic wire, suitable for a standard wrist, plan on a base of 60 to 75 beads.
For a bracelet with a clasp, count 55 to 70 beads, depending on the size of the clasp. We always recommend a few extra beads for a perfect fit.
