What are Miyuki beads?
These glass beads from the Japanese brand Miyuki are Seed beads size 8/0 (approx. 2.2 mm in the direction of the hole, 3 mm in diameter).
They are ideal for all your bead weaving and DIY costume jewelry creations.
What can you do with this jewelry component?
This mix lends itself to a thousand DIY ideas: make a woven bracelet with a bohemian cuff, a long necklace with an animal pattern, or earrings with asymmetrical bangs. Pair them with pearly beads or natural leather to accentuate the romantic effect, or play up the contrasts by combining them with matte black or chalk white. You can also integrate them into a floral or geometric pattern in brick stitch weaving, or customize a textile accessory with poetic bead embroidery.
How to weave with Miyuki beads?
Miyuki beads have the particularity of being perfectly regular, allowing several thread passes. You can use them with or without a loom, but also with a Quick start peyote which makes it easy to start a peyote weave.
