Start by stringing 5 beads on your thread.

What could be better than starfish dangling earrings for our new DIY jewelry collection called La Plage. In this tutorial, you'll learn how to make a starfish out of 8/0 seed beads. Whether you're a beginner or not in jewelry creation, you'll be able to easily reproduce this jewel by following the detailed step-by-step tutorial. Starfish jewelry is very much in vogue this summer, so don't hesitate to make your own!
In this tutorial, we suggest you make two bi-colored starfish, with a first color for the center of the star and a second color for the branches. However, we leave you free to adapt this jewel to your own tastes. You can make more or fewer starfish, depending on the effect you want, and adapt the colors. To do so, take a look at our range of Miyuki and/or Preciosa8/0 seed beads.
Once you've understood how to make starfish, you can use them in any way you like: as pendants, chokers, bracelets - in short, the possibilities are endless. By the way, if you make this tutorial at home, whether it's the same or different, please share it with us on social networks by mentioning us on your post or using the #perlesandco.
And don't hesitate to check out the other tutorials in the La Plage collection. On the program: colorful jewelry that smells like summer!

Start by stringing 5 beads on your thread.

Pass your thread through the first bead to close the center of the star.

You should get this.

The center of your flower is now complete. Let's move on to the starfish branches.

String two orange beads, pass the thread through the next white bead, then string two orange beads again. You can continue like this all the way round.

Once you've completed the trick, do the same as in the previous step, but string 4 orange beads this time.

Once you've threaded your 4 beads, pass the thread through the next white and orange bead and thread 4 beads again. Work your way around.

This is how it should look.

We'll now move on to the tip of the branch. To do this, pass all the thread through the side of the branch, then thread 1 bead and pass the thread through the other side of the branch. Move on to the next branch, passing the thread through the white bead and repeating the step for all the branches.

Tuck both ends of the wires into the weave and trim off any excess.
Your first star is now complete. You can repeat all the above steps to make the second star.

To hang your two stars, take a ring and pass it through one of the pearly beads for the top star, and through a bead forming the tip of a branch for the bottom star.

Take a second ring and pass it through a pearl that forms the tip of the branch, as well as through the ring on the ear stud.
