Clay beads

Clay has been used to create beads for a very long time.
Varanasi, also known as Banaras (India), is the most famous place for its Handicraft items and is well known for making quality beads.
Craftsmen take pieces of fresh clay and shape them with their hands, add a hole thanks to long needles and engrave them.
Finally they fire the raw clay beads in a traditional oven.
