Gold Filled contains 1/20 of its weight in 14-carat gold, applied to a brass base. This thicker layer of gold ensures a longer life, even with daily wear. Gold Filled beads are compatible with most jewelry wires, provided you choose the right diameter:

• Stranded wire: ideal for fine necklaces and bracelets with clasps.
• Silk or nylon wire: perfect for knotting between beads or for elegant settings.
• Transparentelastic wire: suitable for bracelets without clasps, easy to thread.
• Gold Filled chains: for 100% long-lasting, aesthetic creations.

Always check the bead hole diameter in the product data sheet to choose the right wire. The diameter of your wire should not be larger than the diameter of the hole in your beads.

No, Gold Filled does not oxidize easily. Thanks to its 14-carat gold coating, this material is highly resistant to oxidation, tarnish and corrosion. It retains its brilliance for years, even in everyday wear.

However, to prolong its brilliance, avoid prolonged contact with salt water, chemicals (perfume, chlorine, cream) or excessive humidity. Regular cleaning with a soft cloth is enough to keep your Gold Filled beads and tubes in perfect condition.
