How do I understand the display of prices by quantity?

Our bulk discounts allow you to benefit from a lower price per item when you purchase multiple quantities of the same product. The more you buy, the less you pay per item!

For example:

  • 1 to 5 items: the price is €2.20 per item.

  • 6 items or more: the price drops to €2.00 per item.

The discount is automatically applied to your basket as soon as you reach the required quantity. No discount code is needed!

The quantities and prices for each discount tier are displayed directly on the product page.

Do the prices displayed include VAT?

The prices on the site are displayed by default (customers not logged in) with the French VAT (20%).
Once logged in, the prices are displayed with the VAT associated with the default address of the customer account (0% for export and the French overseas departments and territories, the VAT of each country for EU members).

Professional customers from an EU country (outside France) with a valid VAT number are exempt from paying VAT.

If they are identified, the prices for them are displayed exclusive of tax.

How are the prices calculated according to the quantities and the VAT rate?

On our website, prices are displayed including VAT by default.

However, the total amount is calculated using the unit price excluding VAT, with VAT then added to the result.

In mainland France, for products subject to 20% VAT, the calculation is as follows:

Unit price excluding VAT × 1.20 = Unit price including VAT

Here's an example:

An item displayed at €1.00 including VAT has an approximate unit price of €0.83 excluding VAT.

If you order 10 of the same item, the calculation may be as follows:

  • Unit price excluding VAT: €0.83

  • Quantity ordered: 10

  • Total excluding VAT: €0.83 × 10 = €8.30

  • VAT at 20%: €1.66

  • Total including VAT: €9.96

The total is therefore €9.96 rather than €10.00 including VAT.

Why does this difference occur?

It is due to the rounding rules applied to prices. Depending on the products and quantities ordered, rounding may result in a small difference, either higher or lower, between the displayed unit price including VAT and the calculated total.

Rest assured, this is not a billing error. It is simply a difference caused by VAT calculations and rounding.
