What is Gold filled?
Gold Filled is a process applied to a metal (often brass as the base) that involves mechanically applying a layer of gold alloy with varying karat grades. The weight of the gold alloy accounts for 1/20 of the product’s total weight.

If you want to further slow down the oxidation process, you should handle these items with gloves and avoid contact with perfumes, skin oils, and lotions. You should also store them in a dry, temperate place.
