How to make a Gold Filled bracelet with a half-rod tube?
Do you want to offer or make a quality Gold Filled piece of jewelry ? Perles and co offers you this DIY bracelet model composed exclusively of Gold Filled accessories , silk thread and pretty little blue pearls. Gold Filled is a technique that covers a metal primer with a layer of gold that is often thicker than gold plated. You will get a piece of jewelry worthy of being in a jewelry store for an unbeatable price. In addition, if you make several, the price will be lower. This tutorial will cost you 15.30 euros (excluding copper wire, glue and jewelry clips) for a single bracelet and 22.70 euros for two, or 11.35 euros for the bracelet so do not hesitate to add a curved tube and one more shooting star fine sequin!
This bracelet is an ideal Christmas gift idea thanks to its adjustable closure that adapts to the size of the wrist. You don't need to know the wrist size of the person you want to give it to.
The blue color of the pearls does not suit you? Find all of our 2 mm hematite beads and choose from our other colors.
Here are also jewelry boxes to offer your bracelet in a case.
Step 1 :
Unroll the silk thread but leave the end attached to the cardboard so that the pearls do not fall. The interest is to be able to keep the needle on the silk thread for a next creation. If you make your bracelet with the beginning of the wire you will have to cut it at the end. Thread in order: 1 pearl 2 mm, the stopper pearl, 16 to 18 pearls for an XS bracelet (14 to 15 cm around your wrist), 18 to 21 pearls for a bracelet size S (15 to 16 cm), 21 to 24 pearls for a bracelet size M (16 to 17 cm) and so on. If you do not know the size of the person's wrist, put a few more pearls, even if it means breaking them with flat pliers, when you offer them to the person to adjust them to the size of the wrist.
2nd step :
Wrap a copper wire around the needle to be able to cross the entire tube, then thread as many beads as before. Iron in stopper bead by crossing the threads. For ease, take the two parts of the thread already passed in the stopper bead between your shoot and your index finger as close as possible to the bead so as to enlarge the hole of the bead then pass the needle. Thread a last blue bead.

Step 3:
Tighten the bracelet. From the stopper bead count 5 cm and make a double knot on the two ends of the wire. You will adjust the size around the person's hand by making another closer knot. Put a point of glue on the knots and cut the excess of wire.
Step 4:
Open a ring and put the shooting star sequin on it. Close the ring on the bracelet after the first bead.

NB: Please note that the list of products below is not entirely in accordance with the presentation photo. For stock reasons, some products in this tutorial have been replaced by equivalents. The small matt blue hematite pearls have been replaced by the same brilliant blue and faceted beads. You can also use these same 2 mm matt hematite beads in another color.
