Double-row bracelet made of natural stones and freshwater beads

How do you make a double-strand bracelet?

This tutorial guides you through creating a naturally elegant double-strand bracelet that combines the softness of freshwater beads with the subtle sparkle of natural gemstones. A refined piece of jewelry with a luxurious look, perfect for enhancing both everyday outfits and summer evening wear.

The bracelet consists of two rows of freshwater beads, prized for their pearly luster and natural irregularity, which makes each piece unique. Freshwater beads are a jewelry staple: they add a touch of timeless elegance and go with everything. The double row gives the bracelet a beautiful sense of volume and richness, while remaining delicate on the wrist.

What makes this bracelet truly special are the fine gold plated natural stone spacers that punctuate the rows of beads. For this design, we’ve chosen a trio of gemstones in soft, luminous hues: two yellow chalcedony spacers for a sunny, vibrant touch, two pink chalcedony spacers for a tender, romantic effect, and two moonstone spacers for their milky luster and distinctive iridescent sheen. This blend of natural stones creates a harmonious palette of pastel colors that pairs beautifully with the pearlescent sheen of the freshwater beads. The fine gold plating on the settings adds a precious touch that ties the entire piece together seamlessly.

Of course, you can customize this bracelet by choosing other natural stones from our wide selection of gemstone spacers: labradorite, amazonite, garnet, lapis lazuli… Let your imagination run wild to create a combination that reflects your personality.

Once your bracelet is finished, share your creation on social media and tag us! We love seeing your creations and are happy to share them with the entire Perles & Co. community.

Tutorial steps

Step 1
Double-row bracelet made of natural stones and freshwater beads : Step 1

Separate your clasp into two parts. Cut two pieces of nylon thread, each about 20 to 24 cm long. Cut them a little longer—it’s easier to work with.

Take one end of your first thread, slide it into a crimp bead, thread it through the first ring of the clasp, then thread it back through the crimp bead. Using your crimp beads, crimp the bead, then hide it inside a crimp cover for a neat finish. Do exactly the same thing with the second strand on the second ring of the clasp. Your two strands are now attached!

Step 2

On each of the two strands, thread the beads in the following order: 1 gold bead, 3 freshwater pearls, 1 gold bead, 2 freshwater pearls, 1 gold bead.

A quick tip: Freshwater beads are naturally a bit irregular—that’s part of their charm! Take the time to select beads that are similar in size and shape and distribute them evenly across both strands. Your bracelet will look all the more harmonious as a result.

Step 3

Thread your first yellow chalcedony spacer by passing each of the two strands through a loop on the spacer. The two strands meet here, which gives the bracelet its structure. After the spacer, thread 1 gold bead, 1 freshwater pearl, and then 1 gold bead onto each strand, and slide on the next spacer—a pink chalcedony one. Continue in this manner, alternating between beads and spacers in the following order: moonstone spacer, pink chalcedony spacer, then yellow chalcedony spacer.

Step 4

After the last yellow chalcedony spacer, repeat step 2 on each of the two strands: 1 gold bead, 2 freshwater pearls, 1 gold bead, 3 freshwater pearls, 1 gold bead. Again, be sure to match your freshwater beads from one row to the next.

Step 5
Double-row bracelet made of natural stones and freshwater beads : Step 5

Take one of your two strands, slide it through a crimp bead, thread it through the corresponding ring on the clasp, and then thread it back through the crimp bead. Crimp the bead using your pliers and hide it inside a crimp bead cover. Cut off the excess wire and thread the remaining end through the adjacent beads to hide it completely. Repeat the process with the second wire on the second ring. Your double-strand bracelet is finished!

Bonjour, vous proposez toujours des tutos avec des bijoux dorés? Est-ce que ce bracelet peut-être en variation argentée? Et si oui, où trouver le matériel facilement?
D'avance merci. Amicalement, Sophie
