How to make a small wire bracelet with a sliding knot?

How to make a small sliding bracelet with thread?

Here is a little gift idea to make yourself that will surely please! Personalize this bracelet with a zodiac sign bead of the person to whom you wish to offer it, these beads are available in gold and silver and choose the shiny thread that will please him the most. Use ?Au Ver à Soie? threads size 16 preferably. Dozens of different colors are available.

  1. Cut 45 cm of shiny thread for costume jewelry. Put ?white? Cleopatra glue on the ends of the threads, refine the ends with your fingers, if possible with gloves and let dry. It will not work with the hasulith, it needs vinyl glue. The goal is to stiffen the ends of the thread to prevent them from fraying and to facilitate the passage through the beads because you will not be able to use a needle.
  2. Pass the thread through 11/0 delicas beads of the color of your choice, a small 2 mm gold filled or brass bead, a delicas, the zodiac sign bead, here the sign of the virgin, a delicas, a pearl golden 2 mm, a delicas. Center the beads on the thread and tie a knot on both sides of the beads, being as close to the beads as possible.
  3. Pass the thread through the stopper bead then wedge it as in the photo by pulling it to widen the hole. Then pass the other end of the thread in the opposite direction to cross the threads inside the stopper bead.

  4. Put a golden bead on each end of the wire and tie a knot to adjust the length of wire needed to put on the bracelet. Do the test on yourself and mark the location of the knots with a pencil.
  5. Cut out a rectangle from pretty patterned paper. Make notches on both sides to fix the bracelet. And There you go ! More than slip everything into a small gift bag or a postcard.
