For this tutorial, you will need:
- a flat drop bead in the color of your choice
- a crystal in the color of your choice
- a flat head stud
- a cabochon ear stud
- round beads
- pliers (cutting, flat, round tip)

As you may have noticed, crystals are in full swing at the moment! Very chic and elegant, so we decided to showcase them in our April collection: Crystal Flower. In this tutorial, you'll learn how to make fancy dangling earrings, perfect for brightening up your spring outfits.
For this tutorial, I chose to mix materials to give a little more fantasy to the crystal earring. It will only take you a few minutes to assemble the Aurora crystal with a flat opaque resin drop bead. The advantage of this tutorial is that it is totally accessible to beginners. The hardest part will only be creating a loop on the flat head nail, but we have a data sheet to help you: Forming a loop on a jewelry nail.
I chose to make these dangling earrings in shades of blue but there are many color combinations so let your creativity flow and have fun mixing the colors of the Aurora crystals and drop beads for an even more original look. We have made some suggestions at the bottom of the page to inspire you. The crystals chosen for this tutorial are Aurora crystals but you can find the same shape and size in our PureCrystal range.

For this tutorial, you will need:
- a flat drop bead in the color of your choice
- a crystal in the color of your choice
- a flat head stud
- a cabochon ear stud
- round beads
- pliers (cutting, flat, round tip)

First, place your oval crystal in the ear stud. Then, using a flat pliers (preferably with a nylon tip to avoid damaging the crystal), fold back the prongs of the setting to hold the cabochon in place.

Next, take your flat head nail and slip a round bead in between. Then put the nail through the flat drop bead. Form a loop on the top of the stem.
If you are a beginner and don't know how to do this, I invite you to consult our technical sheet which will teach you how to make a loop on a nail.
Be careful not to close your loop completely.

To finish your earring, pass the ring of the ear stud in the loop of your flat head stud. Then, with a flat clip, close your earring.
Do the same steps to make the second earring and your pair is finished!
