How to weave a beaded pompom?
How to weave Peyote pair?
For those who love pompons, you've come to the right place. For those who love Miyuki beads and pompons, you've come to the right place! Estelle from the blog Petit Bout de Chou teaches us in this tutorial how to make long pompom earrings with Miyuki bead attachments woven in Peyote pair. This is a very chic pair of earrings that will be perfect for enhancing a festive outfit!
Before you get started, we suggest you take a look at our toolbox , where you'll learn the Peyote pair weaving technique with the help of synthetic diagrams.
Materials required:

STEP 1: Even Peyote ring
Create a pattern (here a zigzag) with an even number of rows (here 8).

Thread the bead and make a loop to secure it.

Thread the first 8 beads of the pattern, then the first bead of the next row (you've now threaded 9 beads).

Insert the needle into the 3rd bead from the end and pull on the thread to place the first two beads side by side.

Thread the next bead in the row and stitch into the bead from the previous row so that the new bead fits in between.

Repeat to the end of the row and repeat with the next row.

Form 5 zigzags (or more or less to go around your pompom).

"Sew the ends of the ring together and weave through the work to secure the thread.

STEP 2: Upper part of fastener
Bring out the thread at the top of the ring.

Divide the number of beads in the ring by 6 = X. Thread 13 beads, then needle X beads further.

Weave in the work to bring out X more beads.

Repeat to create 3 loops of 13 beads.

Weave through the last loop to the center bead and through the other two loops twice in succession.

String 5 beads to create a new loop and work your way back through the loops to the peyote weave to lock in the thread.

STEP 4: Attach pom-pom fastener
Prick the needle through the pom-pom several times to secure the fastener to it.

Lock the thread in the weave.

ETAPE 5 : Attach the ear hook to the tassel
Open the hook ring with the pliers.

Slide the small loop inside and close.

You're done! Now all you have to do is make the second loop!
