Cut a length of thread equivalent to 3 times your hand circumference. Cut this length into two pieces. Put a clip on the end of the thread or tie a temporary knot to prevent the beads from falling off. Thread the thread onto a soft eye needle.
Looking for a simple tutorial to make a beaded bracelet with a sliding knot? This project is the perfect way to get started in DIY jewelry-making, and you can customize this beaded bracelet to your heart's content! For this model, I chose Jasper beads, also known as African Turquoise. I really like the mix of turquoise and brown, I think it gives a warm look that goes with lots of outfits. It's a great choice if you want to create a natural stone bracelet. I used leftover African turquoise beads from this tutorial: Thin bracelets with African turquoise beads and gold-plated stainless steel. It might be a good idea to use this as inspiration too, to create a pretty accumulation of beaded bracelets.
Many of the beads used in this DIY bracelet can be reused in other tutorials:
The sliding knot is an easy technique to learn. It allows you to adjust the bracelet to any wrist size, without the need for a clasp. It's particularly useful if you're new to jewelry-making. If you want an even simpler sliding clasp than the noose, you can opt for a stopper bead instead. This is a bead with a silicone washer inside to prevent the wire from slipping too easily. You'll find them in the variation section of the equipment list.

Thread a golden Miyuki Delica bead, 5 cream beads, 1 Honey bead, 1 golden miyuki bead, 1 Honey bead, 5 cream beads, 1 golden miyuki bead, 1 African turquoise bead, a golden Miyuki Delica bead, 5 cream beadsme bead, 1 Honey bead, 1 golden miyuki bead, 1 Honey bead, 5 cream beads, 1 golden miyuki bead, 5 African turquoise beads, 1 golden micro-spacer, 1 African turquoise bead, 1 Half Tila bead, 10 golden micro-spacers. Repeat threading in reverse order. Adjust the number of Delica beads to your wrist size. Make a temporary knot on the other end.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 with the other end of the thread. When threading a Half Tila, pass the first beaded thread through the second hole in the Half Tila.
Center the beads and tie knots on each side to lock them in place.
Cut a further 20 cm of thread. Cross the bracelet wires in pairs. Tie the small piece of wire to the four wire ends. Tie a 6-10 mm slip knot. This is a macramé overhand knot. Cut the ends of the overhand knot at 2 mm from the knot and melt them to bond them to the knot.
Adjust the length of the bracelet by testing it on your hand. It should be easy to put on. Center the knot. Undo the temporary knots at the beginning. Thread three golden beads onto each piece of wire. Tie a new knot closer to the overhand knot. Recut the wire to within 2 mm of the knot and melt it. Do the same for the other three wires.
