Take small pieces of magenta-coloured dough to form the smallest cabochons that will be stuck on the ear studs. Use the silicone mould to make two 12 mm cabochons.
Here is a nice pair of earrings to make with Cernit polymer clay. Two different effects according to the ranges are to be discovered, a magenta pink color of the number one range and another one of burgundy color effect since it is translucent. You will see an example of a cabochon shape creation made from a silicone mould adapted to the polymer clay, you will also shape square beads. The assembly is not difficult, this tutorial is almost within everyone's reach except for the sanding, polishing and polishing part which requires a little more experience and above all motivation.
Take small pieces of magenta-coloured dough to form the smallest cabochons that will be stuck on the ear studs. Use the silicone mould to make two 12 mm cabochons.
Take some translucent burgundy paste, put it in a 25 mm hollow of the mould to obtain two pieces. You can put some talcum powder in the mould, blow on it to remove the excess and then put your paste, this prevents the piece from being deformed when you want to take it out of the mould.
Take the same proportion of burgundy paste by first making a passage in the MAP at the widest notch, take a 20 mm punch to remove two rounds from this plate. Shape each pellet into a ball and then crush it with a blade or a roller to make it square, pierce your pieces. Cook all your beads at 120 degrees for 30 minutes.
This step concerns the finishing of your pieces, indeed the translucent polymer clay is really pretty only if it is polished or varnished, its effect does not stand out if we leave our matt beads. Sandpapering with a thousand grain then polishing with micro-mesh using only two, then to finish polishing with the Dremel drill and a flannel tip adaptable on the Dremel flexible.
Drill your big cabochons with the Dremel or a hand chuck. Pass a 5 mm ring through each hole. Pass a round-headed nail through the square bead, cut the rest of the wire so that less than a millimetre remains. Form a loop with the remaining wire and round-ended pliers. Hook this bead to the ring of the cabochon. Glue the small cabochon to the ear stud and then add a very small 3 mm ring to connect to the square bead.
