How to make a felt brooch yourself?
Today's tutorial shows you how to make an original cloud-shaped brooch with Miyuki 15/0 and 11/0 seed beads and Swarvoski or PureCrystalnavettes.
We used Light Rose Ignite shuttles, but you can customize your brooch with other Swarovski shuttle colors.

So, ready to make your own felt brooch? Go for it!
The steps :
Step 1: Download and print the cloud template, then cut it out.

Step 2: Use a pencil to trace the shape on the suedette, adding a surplus underneath to sew on the shuttles.

Step 3: Cut out the suedette
Step 4: Sew the Miyuki 15/0 gold seed beads in an arc, thread your beads then stitch into the suedette and tie a knot to hold everything together on the back. Use the photo to count the number of beads.
Step 5: Sew Miyuki seed beads in the round. Start by sewing the first bead, then thread 4 beads and sew them around the first bead, and so on in the round.
To finish the bottom, string the beads and sew them straight to add a cloud effect.
Step 6: To solidify your brooch, glue the cloud part to suedette and cut it out. This also hides the small sewing threads of the pearls on the back.
Step 7: Crimp the PureCrystal shuttles. See our sheet on how to crimp a cabochon.

Step 8: Glue the crimps to the excess suede, then sew to ensure they stay in place.
Step 9: Finish by gluing and sewing the brooch to the back.
And now your brooch is ready with the pretty crystal shuttles!
