Bangs are making a comeback in trendy accessories, and so are brooches! So what better way to accessorize your holiday outfit than with this fringe and pearly bead brooch tutorial?
In this tutorial, you'll find all the steps you need to make this brooch with gold chain bangs and pearly crystal beads. This chic, modern DIY accessory instantly adds a refined touch to a jacket, coat, knitwear or even a bag. A hot trend in handmade jewelry, the combination of gold and mother-of-pearl creates a luminous, timeless style, ideal for sublimating an outfit in any season.
In this tutorial, you'll learn how to transform a simple pin into a truly decorative piece of jewelry using fine chains, pearly beads in different sizes and a few primers. The final result offers a lovely movement of elegant bangs, giving volume and fluidity to the brooch. The pearly crystal beads delicately catch the light to create a subtle shimmering effect, perfect for adding a sophisticated touch without overdoing it.
You'll be able to create a unique brooch that's infinitely customizable: add more fringe, vary the length, mix other types of beads or integrate charms to create a totally personal style. This brooch with golden bangs and pearly beads is also an excellent idea for a handmade gift. Whether for a birthday, anniversary, Christmas or just to please someone.
And if you like the fringe jewelry trend, we've put together a lovely collection of DIY jewelry for the festive season: the Frangines collection! From dangling earrings to fringed bracelets with Miyuki beads, from a pompom bag jewel to a waterfall necklace, there's something for everyone! All these DIY jewels have been designed to add a chic touch to your everyday outfits or complete your 100% festive New Year's Eve look!

Cut about 13.5 cm of chain and attach it to the end of the brooch.

We'll now move on to the small pearly beads. Take your ball-headed nail, thread the bead through it and make the loop at the end of the nail. There are two options here:
- Use the one-step looper to make the loops with ease.
- Use your flat-nose pliers and round-nose pliers to make the loops. If you need help, please consult our technical data sheet.
Here I've made 21 nails with the small beads and 7 nails with the large beads.

I placed the beads somewhat randomly, usually with a sequence of one large bead followed by two or three small beads on the main length. I added two small beads on the dangling length.

Here's how it looks once all the beads have been placed. Feel free to adjust according to the desired effect.
